FAQ
The things we get asked most. If yours isn’t here, ask us — we’d rather answer before you order than after.
Binders
- What sizes do you do?
- 8 sizes, from a 4-pocket holding 160 cards up to a 64-pocket holding 2,304.
- Pockets are 68 × 97mm inside, which takes a standard card in a penny sleeve. The spine runs 30–45mm depending on how full the binder is.
- What colours can I have?
- Signature Black, Royal Blue, Forest Green, Fire Red, Ocean Blue, Sunrise Yellow. Every colour is available in every size.
- Are they zipped?
- Yes — every binder has a full zip closure, so nothing works its way out in a bag.
- How much do they cost?
- Binders start at £15 plain. Decoration is added on top: £25 for the front panel, £25 for the back, £45 for both.
- That rate is the same whichever size binder you pick, and whichever decoration method you choose.
Your design
- What's the difference between the three methods?
- Laser engraving burns your design into the cover. It's tonal rather than colourful, has real depth to it, and can't wear off.
- UV printing puts your artwork on in full colour, printed straight onto the binder.
- Foil art gives colour with a metallic, iridescent shine that shifts as the binder moves.
- All three cost the same, so it's a question of the look you want.
- What file should I send?
- Upload any common image format. The bigger and cleaner the file, the better it comes out — a screenshot off a phone rarely engraves well.
- We check the resolution against the binder size you picked at upload, and tell you there and then if it's too small.
- Can I see it before I buy?
- Yes. The designer shows your artwork on the binder in the colour you've chosen, and you can move, scale and crop it until it sits right.
- Can I have the front and back done?
- Front only, back only, or both. Both panels together is £45 rather than £50 for the two separately.
- Panels only — we don't decorate the spine.
- Can I use artwork I found online?
- Only if you have the right to use it. Fan art, card art and characters belong to whoever made them, and we can't put someone else's work on a binder we sell you.
- Your own artwork, a photo you took, or a design you've commissioned is fine.
- My design has a white background — is that a problem?
- No. Upload it as it is and the white background is taken off automatically, while white inside lettering and enclosed shapes stays put.
Ordering
- How do I pay?
- Card, Apple Pay or PayPal, all handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
- What happens after I've paid?
- You get an emailed confirmation with your order number and what you ordered, and your artwork comes through to our workshop at the same time. We'll be in touch about timings.
- Can I change or cancel my order?
- Get in touch as soon as you can. Before we've started decorating we can usually change or cancel it. Once your design has been engraved, printed or foiled onto a binder, it can't be undone.
Delivery and returns
- How long does it take?
- Each binder is decorated after it's ordered rather than picked off a shelf, so it isn't next-day. We'll give you a realistic date when we confirm your order — and if you need it for a particular day, tell us before you buy and we'll say honestly whether it's doable.
- What does delivery cost?
- Nothing at all within the UK, whatever you order. Outside the UK it's £12.99 for the whole order, however many items are in it — you'll see it at checkout as soon as you pick your country, before you pay.
- Do you post outside the UK?
- Yes, anywhere. Pick your country at checkout and the postage is added there.
- Customs charges, import duty and local taxes are yours to pay if your country charges them. We can't know what they'll be, and they aren't included in what you pay us.
- Can I return it?
- Plain, undecorated binders and accessories can be returned. Anything carrying your design is made for you alone, so it can't be — unless it's faulty or we've got it wrong, in which case we'll put it right.
- That's the same wherever you are. If you're ordering from outside the UK, email us before sending anything back — return postage from abroad can cost more than the item, and it's worth us agreeing what to do first.
